"The week in Ontinyent with our hosts, Dave & Emmeline, was unforgettable.
The riding conditions (In late October) were simply perfect - wonderfully smooth roads, very little traffic, stunning scenery, lots of sunshine, and every bit of terrain you could hope for. You have really created a gem. Thank you so much!

Oh, and as a much-appreciated bonus: I am riding so much stronger
back at home."

Better than Denia and Calpe for sure!

Quieter roads with good options for flat, rolling or climbing rides and there's the beautiful Serra Mariola national park on the doorstep too!  Great guiding through picturesque landscapes, towns and villages.  Try the climb up to the Ermita Hermitage if you want a challenge on a par with the Cumbre del Sol - the former wins hands down for setting and views!  There's something for everyone in this area.

David and Emmeline are the perfect hosts at the Finca Casa Sanz.  Great accommodation, with plenty of communal space, should you wish to find a quiet corner, in a great location.  And there's the option to hire one of their (good quality, well maintained) bikes saving the faff of bringing your own.  I recommend the option of the post-ride meal: beautifully prepared and nutritionally spot on!  Having switched to a plant-based diet they catered perfectly for my needs.  The local restaurants are very good indeed too!.

I guess the greatest compliment I can give is this: I'll definitely be going back!

"Great riding about an hour inland from Alicante. Fabulous scenery which takes you through mountains, rolling hills and national parks! Well worth a trip for anyone wanting to stretch their legs on smooth Spanish roads."

"It’s a wonderful and unspoilt part of the world. We enjoyed guided rides to the mountain climbs and the descents. There was such a range of gradients which suited us, as we could go for a challenge, but take a less steep route another day.  The weather was perfect and the road surfaces put the English routes to shame."

"So again a big thank you, and we look forward to seeing you again in the spring

“Amazing roads with no traffic, fantastic views and a wide range of cycling terrains. There are long climbs, hard punchy climbs and beautiful rolling terrain. The Reconco was one of the toughest I have ridden, and  I've done Ventoux and the Pyrenees. After a day in the saddle the historical country house was a joy, beautifully maintained and set in gorgeous surroundings. Food was ready on our return, really tasty and perfect for recovery. To sit on the terrace, eat and chat about the days cycling whilst the Mediterranean breeze sifts through the pine trees and the sun sets behind the mountains is a perfect way to end a day. After a week I feel like I have only scratched the surface of an amazing cycling location and am keen to go back!”

"The location is perfect, straight out into great roads. Great routes with stunning scenery.  Over the week I didn't feel at any point like I was riding the same roads I'd ridden in the days before

"The overall experience was amazing. I wanted to treat the week as a pre race training camp and i definitely felt like i was able to push myself climbing yet felt well rested and relaxed. Very friendly hosts and just a beautiful place to ride a bike. Thank you"

"The rides were very well organised and cycling on virtually traffic free roads was a dream! Fantastic climbs, rolling terrain and lots of pretty towns and villages to stop at."

"The villa was beautiful and peaceful. David and Emmeline, made me feel extremely welcome. The food was fantastic, especially the  post-ride home cooked meals. The Spanish craft beers that accompanied meals were delicious!"

"Great location: quiet, picturesque, rural setting very close to a stunning gorge."

"The rides were really fab I loved the country and the scenery. Coffee stops really good. I think you judged the group well and over the week you made effort to help."

"The accommodation, food and service was first class. David and Emmeline are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them."

"Can only give my highest recommendations to visit David and Emmeline in Ontinyent."

"I had the pleasure of staying with them a week in November 2019 to prepare for an upcoming Ironman – so was looking for some a good place to get some quality training in – both in terms of biking, swimming and running."

"The area offers both flat and hilly routes, and with David as the tour guide, I was in safe hands, and have some nice days on the bike. Likewise, I enjoyed the genuine hospitably in the casa and the home cooked meals after a long day of riding.

Ride on!"
